Co-Founder and Member

Co-founder of Shelter Academy of Light, George  was born and raised in Namisindwa district, in Eastern Uganda. In 1993, George graduated from Kenya Institute of Special Education and went on to teach Sign Language at Kyambogo University in the Department of Special Education in 1994. In 1998, he migrated to the United States, where he was later joined by his wife Grace. Together they are blessed with four children. For the 25 years George has been living in the US, he has been working in the healthcare industry. George’s passion for education and his desire for an educated future generation is the reason he and Grace supported and provided educational opportunities to their adopted children who reside in Uganda. George wishes that all children are given the opportunity to explore their God-given potential through education and quality life. For George and Grace, founding Shelter Academy of Light was another avenue through which they hope to expand the impact of transforming the lives of vulnerable children and their communities.
