Dean Skuldt is a system engineer and musician living in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he and his wife, Juliet, raised their two daughters. He earned both his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He can be seen biking year-round to Motorola Solutions, where he has worked for more than 20 years. Throughout the years, Dean has volunteered in music ministry, helped refugee families, and served in children’s programs at his church. He has been actively involved in the Christian Advocacy Now ministry, which is a passion of Juliet’s. Dean loves to offer practical support to the work of Shelter Academy of Light through orchestrating the collection and overseas transport of over a thousand books to supply libraries to the local Ugandan primary schools where SAL runs Small Steps Reading Clubs. He also maintains the website and offers a variety of technical support. His deep hope is that Shelter Academy of Light will not only provide excellent educational opportunities to children in Bubutu, Uganda, but also demonstrate the love of Christ in real and tangible ways.
