This year, we’ve determined to be bold, ask big, and embark on the next phase of SAL’s ministry that we’ve spent years preparing for: breaking ground! To do this, SAL is looking for 10 individuals, families, companies, organizations, or community groups to take on the challenge of each donating $10,000 in 2024. This will raise $100,000 of seed money needed to begin building in earnest–creating a safe sanctuary and a place of quality learning that can literally change the lives of vulnerable kids in Bubutu, Uganda. What we will do with…
100k : Breaking ground and building first 6 classrooms
200k : Complete classrooms and latrines
300k : Hire staff and begin operating the school
In honor of the generosity and ongoing legacy of our 10 x 10K Cornerstone Donors, their names will be displayed on a Wall of Gratitude in one of the completed Shelter Academy of Light buildings in Bubutu.
