Meet Robyn Minor, the spirited Marketing and Video volunteer at Shelter Academy of Light since 2024 lighting up the team with her boundless creativity and infectious enthusiasm. You may have seen her skills at work during our Fall Foodie Festival. (Yes, she edited that video!) By day, Robyn is the Roger Park’s neighborhood go-to Content Creator, crafting compelling social media strategies and captivating videos for local small businesses in Chicago. Her journey into the world of media began early, orchestrating home movies with an old camcorder at just six years old. This early passion blossomed at Columbia College Chicago (‘18), where she majored in Television with a concentration in Directing and Production.
As a student, Robyn wore many hats, from Executive Producer of award-nominated web-based talk shows to versatile roles in video production and editing. Post-graduation, Robyn’s career flourished with diverse roles: videographer, director, producer, and social media guru. Her knack for community connection led her to Shelter Academy of Light, where her skills and local ties were a perfect match for this amazing non-profit.
Outside of work, Robyn is a devoted bunny mom and an unabashed lover of horror movies and themed parties. Her heart beats for collaboration and creating meaningful connections with like-minded individuals in her community.
